1. Who we are
CS2 Market Research (“we”, “the Service”) is a search tool for CS2 skins and sticker crafts. It also offers price alerts, craft subscriptions, a trade-up calculator and a portfolio tracker. We are not affiliated with Valve Corporation, and we do not buy, sell or hold any items.
2. Information we collect
Account data. When you sign in with Steam or Google, we receive your account ID, display name and avatar from that provider. We store your email address if you add one, and your Telegram chat ID if you connect Telegram for alerts.
Content you create. Price alerts, craft subscriptions, portfolios and lots (including purchase prices you enter), saved crafts, saved trade-ups and your language preference.
Steam inventory. If you use inventory features, we load your public Steam inventory to show your items and fill the trade-up calculator.
Usage data. Searches you open on marketplaces (the selected items, wear, weapon and page) and trade-up calculations. These are linked to your account when you are signed in.
Technical data. Your IP address is stored with your cookie consent choice and with feedback you send through the site. Error reports may include technical details about your browser and the request.
3. How we use your information
To provide the Service: sign-in, alerts, craft subscriptions, portfolios and saved crafts.
To send the email and Telegram notifications you set up.
To understand which searches and features are used, so we can improve the Service.
To detect and fix errors and to keep the Service secure.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies that are required for sign-in, security and your cookie consent choice. We also store a few preferences, such as language and layout, in your browser. With your consent we use Google Analytics and PostHog to measure how the Service is used. If you decline analytics, PostHog may still record anonymous page usage without cookies or personal identifiers. You can change your choice at any time in the cookie settings. 5. Service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:
Steam and Google, for sign-in and Steam inventory data
Telegram and Resend, to deliver notifications and emails
Google Analytics and PostHog, for analytics (with consent)
Sentry, for error monitoring
Backblaze, for encrypted database backups
When you open a search or listing on Steam, DMarket, White Market, CS.MONEY or another marketplace, you leave our site and that marketplace’s own privacy policy applies. Some marketplace links contain referral codes.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data until you delete your account. Search and trade-up statistics are kept without a link to you after your account is deleted. Copies of your data may remain in backups for a limited period before they are replaced.
7. Your rights
You can view and update your account data in your profile. You can delete your account at any time from your profile (Account → Delete account). This permanently removes your account, alerts, craft subscriptions, portfolios, saved crafts and trade-ups. For any other request about your data, contact us using the details below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Service changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
